The CLSU Band started in 1963 as an orchestra and later transformed into a combo under Maestro Alejandrino V. Sabacan. CLSU Marching Band was founded in 1963 as CLAC Band (Central Luzon Agricultural College), also under the baton of Maestro Alejandrino V. Sabacan. Under Republic Act 407, the College was converted into a University on the 16th of June, 1964. The CLAC Band was later renamed CLSU Band.
